Bloodfever (Fever Series, Book 2)

Bloodfever - Karen Marie Moning **No spoilers.JULY 2010 ★★★★★ OCTOBER 2012 ★★★★★This delicious sequel to [b:Darkfever|112750|Darkfever (Fever, #1)|Karen Marie Moning|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320533920s/112750.jpg|108558] does not disappoint, as so many sequels do. Having often been burned by Shitty Sequel Syndrome, I am so pleased that my original 5 star rating stands after my reread. A quick list of whys:- Mac is smarter and stronger. She’s also straddling ruthlessness and it suits her. Her world has changed and there’s no more denying it for her. She’s changing with it and the series can only get better for it.- Multiple and worthy villains. Yes, some of the villains are obvious, as this is a sequel, but nothing is written in stone in this series. That’s what keeps Mac – and you, the reader – on your toes. - My lover Barrons is still the same, just more. Still hot, still sexy, still mysterious, still a pain in the ass, still strong as a bull, and still in Mac’s corner. He’s not your typical hero and thank goodness for that. He’s my lover Barrons. There’s only one of those in the universe.- No insta-love. Thank you, Ms. Moning. THANK YOU for not drowning this amazing story in some corny, cheesy insta-love.What you’ll find in this series is a slow simmer, a slow burn, delicious sexual tension, and believable lust. What you'll find:the promise of more.- This frikkin story never lulls. Mac is still long-winded. That’s just Mac, but as for the action and the plot, the wheels keep churning. It’s non-stop and still you will never know what’ll happen next. (This is true of the entire series.)If you haven’t jumped on this bandwagon, do. If you already have, get back on for another rideof this:My Fever reviews:Fever #1 - DarkfeverFever #1.4 - The Alpha Alternative: JZB Sex SceneFever #3 - FaefeverFever #4 - DreamfeverFever #5 - ShadowfeverDani #1 - Iced
