Review: Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews
Blurb: When magic strikes and Atlanta goes to pieces, it’s a job for Kate Daniels…
Drafted into working for the Order of Merciful Aid, mercenary Kate Daniels has more paranormal problems than she knows what to do with these days. And in Atlanta, where magic comes and goes like the tide, that’s saying a lot.
But when Kate's werewolf friend Derek is discovered nearly dead, she must confront her greatest challenge yet. As her investigation leads her to the Midnight Games—an invitation only, no holds barred, ultimate preternatural fighting tournament—she and Curran, the Lord of the Beasts, uncover a dark plot that may forever alter the face of Atlanta's shapeshifting community

It's obvious to me that back when I rated this, after joining GR, I confused books 3 and 4, because I had this rated as 4 stars. PFFFT. This is absolutely my favorite book in the entire series. It was a 5-star book then and it's a 5-star book now. Never a dull moment. If I could give it more stars, I would give it infinity stars, because that's what fangirls do and I'm a fangirl! Whoop whoop! *flails It's true. I'm a ridiculous fangirl for this series, these amazing authors, and their amazing characters. I just.. I just love these characters so much. ALL of them.
Honestly, I don't know if I could love Kate and Curran any more than I do – both individually and together. Kate is what every heroine should be. I just want to be her friend in real life. Call me, Kate.
There are a few heroes that I like a lot and sure, I wanna jump their bones, but Curran? Curran makes me giddy. He affects me like no other. Best ending ever. I cannot stop smiling. =D

This series is sooooooo good. Each book is better than the last. I
I absolutely love Kate. The interactions between her and Curran (swoon) are amazing and I find myself racing through the books to get to these parts. All the characters are interesting and so funny - I often laugh out loud when reading this series. Recommend reading these for sure.
